Ms. Ibrahim began her career as a Teach for America Corps Member and a founding teacher at KIPP Spirit in Sunnyside. Following her teaching career, she attended law school and is currently General Council and the Assistant County Attorney with Harris County Attorney’s office. In her current capacity, she practices transactional and contract law with a focus on public finance. Ms. Ibrahim will bring her lens as an educator in Sunnyside and her legal expertise to the Board and is the proposed Board Chairperson. Ms. Ibrahim has a BA from Rice University and a JD from South Texas College of Law.
Ms. Milton graduated from Northwest Missouri State University with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism and received her M.Ed. in Higher Education Administration from Texas Southern University. Over a decade ago, Cherece began her education career serving as a High School English teacher in the greater Houston area. After several years in the class, she transitioned to join Teach for America’s recruitment team leading their national collegiate recruitment efforts. Cherece brings an immense amount of educational knowledge and community engagement to the board of Bloom Academy.
Dr. Christopher Douglas is a recognized leader in healthcare management, with expertise in strategic marketing, leadership development, and program advancement. He was instrumental in the statewide growth and merger of a multi-million-dollar mobile radiology business from 2010-2015. Dr. Douglas currently oversees a 155,000 sq. ft General Acute Care Hospital called River Oaks Hospital & Clinics in Houston, TX. Dr. Douglas is a proud alumnus of Rice University, a top Ivy League University and the University of Houston.Dr. Douglas is a faithful member in church, member of American College of Healthcare Executives and a Board Member of the Arthritis Foundation and Bloom Academy.
Ms. Harold is the founder of The Frye Group Inc. LLC, a boutique consulting firm supporting client sales development, positioning, and branding that improve business outcomes. She has held positions progressing from territory sales, Regional Account Executive, District Manager and Senior Sales Director in both the Pharmaceutical and K-12 education industries, developing expertise in contract sales, client relations, client management, account retention, crisis management and procurement. Alison holds a BA in Social Work from St. Louis University, has participated in Executive MBA studies at Rice University, is an American Leadership Forum Senior Fellow, and sits on the board of The Black Interior Designers Network.
Ms. Nunoo served for close to a decade as a Teach for America Corps Member and at the Houston Independent School District (HISD), where she taught grades 6 to 8 Math and Algebra. While at HISD, Ms. Nunoo has held the positions of the campus data analysis specialist, grade level chair and lead teacher. She went on to become the Senior Operations Manager at iEducate, where her primary responsibilities included collaborating with district and school staff to implement and evaluate a learning support program for elementary students across 5 school districts in the Houston area. She recently joined Grow Associates LLC, an ed-tech consulting firm in Houston, as a Senior associate. She brings her wealth of
experience in education and management to the Bloom Academy board. Joana received a BA from Grinnell College, majoring in Mathematics and Economics, and is currently pursuing her MBA at the Rice University, Jones School of Business.
