Mr. Cho brings a strong background in finance with over fourteen years in finance and auditing experience. He has worked as a corporate auditor and finance manager for the General Electric Company (GE) and as the Operations and Finance Manager with the Keane Group. At the Keane Group, he spent his first five years with the company working directly with the COO and CFO to build the infrastructure and team to position it for IPO, which went public in 2017. Additionally, Mr. Cho led several initiatives, including digitizing the company’s operations and reporting and leading their commercial finances. Mr. Cho is currently a co-founder and CFO of an eCommerce Company. He has earned a BBA from the University of Miami and a MBA from Northwestern University.

Mr. Britton holds a BA from Tennessee Technological University and an MBA in Information Technology from Trevecca Nazarene University. He has spent the past decade of his career in project management. In his current role at Deloitte, he is responsible for developing quality, risk, change, issues, procurement, and communications management plans. He will bring his expertise in business and project management to the board of Bloom Academy.

Ms. Stewart brings a strong background in Human Resources to her role on the Bloom Academy Board. In her current capacity as HR project manager for Harris Health System, she manages HR strategic projects and initiatives including annual department reporting. She has served as a mentor to students at Attucks Middle School in our proposed flagship community of Sunnyside. Her expertise in human resources will support the board in overseeing all HR policies and procedures. Ms. Stewart earned her BBA from Mercer University, and her MHR from Lipscomb University.

Sarah Ibrahim, Board Secretary: Ms. Ibrahim began her career as a Teach for America Corps Member and was as founding teacher at KIPP Spirit in Sunnyside. Following her teaching career, she attended law school and is currently General Council and the Assistant County Attorney with Harris County Attorney’s office. In her current capacity, she practices transactional and contract law with a focus on public finance. Ms. Ibrahim will bring her lens as an educator in Sunnyside and her legal expertise to the Board and is the proposed Board Chairperson. Ms. Ibrahim has a BA from Rice University and a JD from South Texas College of Law.

Ms. Blanks has an extensive background working on behalf of underserved children in the greater Houston area. She began her career as a Teach for America corps member at KIPP Reach in Oklahoma City, where she served as grade level chair and teacher coach. Ms. Blanks is currently the Associate Director of the Center for School Behavioral Health at Mental Health America where she manages all mental health training and professional development opportunities for local Houston school districts. Ms. Blanks received a BA from Rice University and is pursuing an MSW from the University of Southern California.

Ms. Guiseppi has over a decade of student affairs related experience, programming experience in higher education and multicultural environments, and administrative student affairs experience to her role on the Bloom Academy Board. Currently, Ms. Guiseppi serves as the Director of Pipeline Programs at the University of Houston Law Center. Ms. Guiseppi designed and founded an award-winning program that prepares first-generation and historically underserved undergraduate students for the rigor of applying to and attending law school. Ms. Guiseppi holds a BS from Barry University and a MS from Kaplan University.

Ms. Rahimian began her career in education as a Teach for America Corps member at a traditional public school within the Houston Independent School District. She later spent nine years at YES Prep as a teacher, grade level chair, Director of Parent and Student Initiatives, and Dean of Instruction. Currently, Ms. Rahimian is the Director for the Center of Parenting and Family Well-being at Children at Risk. She holds a BA and a BS from the University of Arizona and a MA in Nonprofit Management from the University of Houston.
